This is a reminder to all residents that the red parking stickers will no longer be valid as of 10/31/23. Please obtain the new ORANGE parking sticker by bringing the old red sticker, your license, and registration to the Management Office by 10/31/23. All stickers must be affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the front windshield, driver’s side. Stickers should not be placed anywhere else on the vehicle.
With the cold weather approaching, please remember to let the Management Office know if you are going to be away for any period of time. It is important that you leave your heat on low while away to avoid any frozen pipes and shut/lock all windows to prevent any drafts. Also, make sure your vehicle is not parked in a “snow emergency” area to avoid being towed.
As there is limited parking during a snow emergency, it may be necessary to not allow overnight visitor parking to ensure that all residents have a place to park. We will make every attempt to notify residents of this in advance. We also recommend backing into your parking space during the winter/snowy months as it will be easier to drive your vehicle out of your space when it snows. Maintenance will not shovel out vehicles, so please plan accordingly and purchase any necessary supplies such as car brushes, shovels, etc. Please look for the amber flashing lights at both entrances, which indicate a snow emergency, as well as signage posted throughout the property.
When paying your rent online, please note that there is no fee when using a checking or savings account. If you use a credit or debit card to pay your rent, the credit card company charges a convenience fee. The amount depends on what type of card you have. To avoid these fees, you should use a checking or savings account, or you may submit personal checks or money orders to the Management Office. If you choose to use a paper payment, please put your name and mailing address on the payment. It is not necessary to put it in an envelope when leaving it in the black box outside the Management Office.
As Harbor Point is pet-friendly, we would like to ask residents to properly store their pet food in airtight containers. If possible, please feed your pets in raised food dishes and vacuum/clean this area regularly to assist with pest control. Please do not use hallway and bedroom closets to store food unless all food items are kept in airtight, plastic containers, as this may also attract pests. Keeping your kitchen surfaces, including the countertops, appliances, and floors clean, and all dishes washed promptly or placed in the dishwasher, and reducing clutter will also assist in reducing pest issues. Eating in the kitchen and not leaving dirty dishes and food containers in other rooms will help in this matter.
We have encountered many apartments with bidets installed on the water supply line. Bidets are NOT permitted at Harbor Point. If you wish to use a bidet, please use a portable/hand-held device that is not attached to the toilet/water supply line. The floors are porous, and spilled water may leak to the units below. Therefore, it is important that water does not pool on the floor when using a hand-held device. Please clean up any spilled water immediately.
If using wipes or feminine products, please do not flush these items as they cause plumbing backups. Please throw anything other than toilet paper into the trash.

Winter Safety Tips: Winter safety is crucial for both personal well-being and property protection. Here are some winter safety tips to remember.

Check for drafts around windows and doors, and report any issues to the maintenance team promptly.
Ensure that heating vents in your apartment are not obstructed by furniture, allowing for efficient heat distribution.

Keep an extra blanket or two in your living space for added warmth during colder nights.
Invest in cozy rugs to add insulation to your apartment floors.

If you notice any issues with your apartment's heating system or detect unusual odors, contact the maintenance team for a quick inspection.
Report any potential fire hazards, such as faulty wiring or malfunctioning appliances, to the maintenance team immediately.

Utilize the thermostat wisely, and if you experience any temperature inconsistencies, notify the maintenance team for adjustments.
Close blinds or curtains at night to help retain warmth in your apartment.

Be mindful of ice accumulation near your apartment entrance; report any areas that need additional salt or sand.
Confirm that exterior doors to common areas are closing properly to conserve heat.

Participate in any community-led initiatives for winter-related concerns, such as creating a shared schedule for snow removal in common spaces.
Share your personal tips for staying warm and comfortable with your neighbors.

Familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures specific to King's Lynne Apartments and encourage neighbors to do the same.
Report any malfunctioning emergency equipment, like exit signs or emergency lights, to the maintenance team.

Stay informed about any winter events or community announcements shared by management.
Share information about local services or resources that may be useful to fellow residents during the winter months.
