We are excited to use this new platform as a way to keep our residents informed and connected with community updates, announcements, events, and more. We had an incredible summer with all of you! We're eagerly anticipating the exciting adventures planned for next year. Here are some standout highlights from our summer events.
Juneteenth Celebration of Freedom
Reflecting on the Juneteenth celebration at Harbor Point on the Bay, it was a lively and culturally enriching event that brought the community together in a spirit of unity and happiness. Attendees enjoyed creative crafts, games, and inspirational speeches from passionate speakers. The music and delicious food enhanced the festive atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for all. Cultural games fostered connections and celebrated heritage, making the Juneteenth celebration a meaningful reminder of history and the value of diversity and unity in our society.

This is a reminder to all residents that the red parking stickers will no longer be valid as of 10/31/23. Please obtain the new ORANGE parking sticker by bringing the old red sticker, your license, and registration to the Management Office by 10/31/23. All stickers must be affixed to the lower left-hand corner of the front windshield, driver’s side. Stickers should not be placed anywhere else on the vehicle.
With the cold weather approaching, please remember to let the Management Office know if you are going to be away for any period of time. It is important that you leave your heat on low while away to avoid any frozen pipes and shut/lock all windows to prevent any drafts. Also, make sure your vehicle is not parked in a “snow emergency” area to avoid being towed.
As there is limited parking during a snow emergency, it may be necessary to not allow overnight visitor parking to ensure that all residents have a place to park. We will make every attempt to notify residents of this in advance. We also recommend backing into your parking space during the winter/snowy months as it will be easier to drive your vehicle out of your space when it snows. Maintenance will not shovel out vehicles, so please plan accordingly and purchase any necessary supplies such as car brushes, shovels, etc. Please look for the amber flashing lights at both entrances, which indicate a snow emergency, as well as signage posted throughout the property.
When paying your rent online, please note that there is no fee when using a checking or savings account. If you use a credit or debit card to pay your rent, the credit card company charges a convenience fee. The amount depends on what type of card you have. To avoid these fees, you should use a checking or savings account, or you may submit personal checks or money orders to the Management Office. If you choose to use a paper payment, please put your name and mailing address on the payment. It is not necessary to put it in an envelope when leaving it in the black box outside the Management Office.
As Harbor Point is pet-friendly, we would like to ask residents to properly store their pet food in airtight containers. If possible, please feed your pets in raised food dishes and vacuum/clean this area regularly to assist with pest control. Please do not use hallway and bedroom closets to store food unless all food items are kept in airtight, plastic containers, as this may also attract pests. Keeping your kitchen surfaces, including the countertops, appliances, and floors clean, and all dishes washed promptly or placed in the dishwasher, and reducing clutter will also assist in reducing pest issues. Eating in the kitchen and not leaving dirty dishes and food containers in other rooms will help in this matter.
We have encountered many apartments with bidets installed on the water supply line. Bidets are NOT permitted at Harbor Point. If you wish to use a bidet, please use a portable/hand-held device that is not attached to the toilet/water supply line. The floors are porous, and spilled water may leak to the units below. Therefore, it is important that water does not pool on the floor when using a hand-held device. Please clean up any spilled water immediately.
If using wipes or feminine products, please do not flush these items as they cause plumbing backups. Please throw anything other than toilet paper into the trash.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to one of our newest furry residents, Ace. As you can see, he is already enjoying the view of the bay. We are delighted to have him here at Harbor Point, and we know he'll enjoy all the green space to run around in.

Winter Safety Tips: Winter safety is crucial for both personal well-being and property protection. Here are some winter safety tips to remember.

Winter Tires: Consider installing winter tires with proper tread depth for better traction on snow and ice.
Slow Down: Reduce your speed and increase following distance to account for slippery roads.
Brake Gently: Apply brakes gently to avoid skidding. If your vehicle has anti-lock brakes (ABS), apply steady pressure.
Clear Snow: Before driving, remove all snow and ice from your vehicle, including windows, mirrors, lights, and the roof.
Stay Informed: Check weather and road conditions before heading out, and consider delaying travel during severe winter storms.
Emergency Kit: Carry an emergency kit in your vehicle, including items like a flashlight, blanket, extra clothing, non-perishable food, and a cell phone charger.

Walk Carefully: Take shorter steps and walk slowly to maintain balance on icy or snowy sidewalks and pathways.
Footwear: Wear shoes or boots with good traction and non-slip soles. Consider adding ice cleats for additional grip.
Handrails: Always use handrails when available, especially when navigating stairs or ramps.

Heating Safety: Keep flammable materials away from heaters and never leave them unattended.
Emergency Supplies: Prepare an emergency kit that includes blankets, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food, bottled water, and a first-aid kit. Store it in an easily accessible location in case of power outages or emergencies.
Candle Safety: If you use candles, never leave them unattended, and place them on stable surfaces away from flammable materials.
Winter Clothing: Dress warmly when going outside in cold weather. Wear layers, a winter coat, gloves, a hat, and waterproof boots to stay dry and warm.
Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of important emergency contacts. Be sure that you update the management office with your current phone number and email address, as well as your emergency contacts.
Crack Your Windows: In the winter months please be sure to vent your apartment by cracking a window to let cool air in as the new windows are very air tight and changing the air in the apartment will keep the air flowing.
